Drilling Rig Foreman (Rig-Less) (Rigless Completion Operations Foreman)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drilling Rig Foreman (Rig-Less) to oversee and manage rigless completion operations for our esteemed organization. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely execution of well completion activities without the use of traditional drilling rigs. Your expertise will be critical in optimizing operational performance while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Supervise and direct rigless completion operations, including well intervention, coiled tubing, wireline, and slickline services, to achieve project objectives with precision and efficiency.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and field personnel, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Safety and Compliance: Enforce rigorous safety protocols and regulatory compliance to ensure a zero-incident work environment. Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and toolbox talks to mitigate potential hazards.
• Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and expertise in rigless completion techniques, including perforating, stimulation, and wellbore cleanout operations. Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve operational challenges and optimize well performance.
• Resource Coordination: Manage the allocation of personnel, equipment, and materials to meet project timelines and budgetary constraints. Liaise with vendors and contractors to secure necessary resources and ensure seamless operations.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure all completion activities meet industry standards and client specifications. Address any deviations promptly to maintain operational integrity.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed operational reports, including daily progress updates, incident logs, and post-job summaries. Maintain accurate records to support audits and regulatory submissions.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certifications in well intervention or completion operations are highly desirable.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in drilling or completion operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or foreman capacity, preferably in rigless environments.
• In-depth knowledge of rigless completion techniques, including coiled tubing, wireline, and slickline operations, as well as well intervention tools and technologies.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams in high-pressure environments.
• Proficiency in industry-specific software, such as well planning and completion simulation tools, to enhance operational decision-making.
• Certifications in IADC WellSharp, IWCF, or equivalent safety and well control training are mandatory.
• Fluency in English is essential, with additional proficiency in Arabic or other regional languages considered a plus.

Work Environment and Travel

This position is based in Saudi Arabia and requires frequent travel to remote field locations. You will be expected to work in challenging environments, including offshore platforms or onshore well sites, with exposure to variable weather conditions. The role may involve shift work, extended hours, or on-call duties to ensure uninterrupted operations.
