Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tender Engineer - Construction to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities

• Tender Preparation and Submission: Develop comprehensive tender documents, including technical proposals, cost estimates, and project schedules, in alignment with client specifications and regulatory frameworks.
• Bid Analysis and Evaluation: Conduct thorough bid evaluations to assess technical feasibility, financial viability, and compliance with project requirements, ensuring optimal bid selection.
• Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams to gather project requirements, clarify technical details, and address any tender-related queries.
• Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, considering material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs, while optimizing profitability and competitiveness.
• Contract Review and Negotiation: Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions to mitigate risks and ensure favorable terms for the organization, in coordination with legal and procurement teams.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all tender submissions adhere to local, regional, and international construction standards, as well as company policies and ethical guidelines.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of tender processes, including correspondence, submissions, and evaluations, and prepare detailed reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Market and Competitor Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor strategies to inform tender strategies and enhance competitiveness.

Qualifications and Experience

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, CEng) is a plus.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in tender engineering, construction project management, or a related role within the construction industry.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, cost estimation software (e.g., Primavera, AutoCAD), and tender management tools.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities to evaluate complex project data, identify risks, and propose viable solutions.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Saudi Arabian construction regulations, tendering laws, and industry best practices.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
