Key Responsibilities

As a Structural Design Manager, your core responsibilities will include:

• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and drafters, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, knowledge sharing, and professional growth. Provide technical guidance, conduct performance reviews, and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Design Oversight & Innovation: Oversee the structural design process from conceptualization to final execution, ensuring alignment with project requirements, regulatory codes, and industry best practices. Drive the adoption of advanced modeling tools, sustainable materials, and innovative construction methodologies to enhance project outcomes.
• Project Management & Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and clients, to deliver projects on time and within budget. Manage project deliverables, resolve technical challenges, and mitigate risks to ensure seamless project execution.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all structural designs comply with local and international standards, such as ACI, AISC, Eurocodes, and relevant Saudi Building Code requirements. Conduct rigorous reviews and audits to validate design integrity, structural stability, and safety.
• Budget & Resource Optimization: Develop and manage project budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety. Monitor expenditures and report on financial performance to senior management.
• Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a primary point of contact for clients, architects, and contractors, providing expert advice, presenting design proposals, and addressing technical queries. Build strong relationships to foster long-term partnerships and business growth.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., P.E., CEng) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in structural design and engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role. Proven track record in delivering large-scale infrastructure, commercial, or industrial projects.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro) and BIM tools (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD). Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational design techniques is a plus.
• Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of structural design codes and standards, including those applicable in the Middle East region. Awareness of seismic design principles and sustainable construction practices is advantageous.
• Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical challenges, adapt to evolving project requirements, and implement innovative solutions under tight deadlines.
