• Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance to maintenance teams, ensuring adherence to engineering best practices, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Project Management: Oversee maintenance projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, resource allocation, scheduling, and risk assessment to deliver results on time and within budget.
• Inspection and Assessment: Conduct regular inspections of civil infrastructure to identify potential issues, assess structural integrity, and recommend proactive maintenance solutions to prevent failures.
• Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local, national, and international standards, codes, and regulations. Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities for audit and reporting purposes.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and facility managers, to align maintenance strategies with organizational objectives and operational needs.
• Cost Optimization: Analyze maintenance data to identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and resource optimization without compromising quality or safety.
• Emergency Response: Serve as a key point of contact during emergency situations, providing immediate technical support and coordinating rapid response efforts to mitigate risks and restore operations.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering maintenance, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SAP PM), strong knowledge of structural analysis, and familiarity with maintenance management systems.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams, foster a culture of accountability, and drive continuous improvement in maintenance processes.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address complex engineering challenges and implement effective solutions.
• Certifications: Valid engineering license (e.g., Professional Engineer) and certifications in safety management or project management are advantageous.
