Key Responsibilities

• Coffee & Beverage Excellence: Prepare and serve a diverse selection of hot and cold coffee and tea beverages, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality in every cup.
• Guest Engagement & Service: Provide attentive and personalized service by taking orders, addressing guest inquiries, and offering knowledgeable recommendations to enhance their experience.
• Equipment Proficiency: Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other specialized coffee equipment with precision, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of tools.
• Workplace Standards: Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and sanitation in all areas of operation, in strict compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, restock supplies as needed, and proactively communicate any shortages or replenishment requirements to management to avoid disruptions.
• Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with colleagues across departments to foster a cohesive, efficient, and welcoming environment that reflects the luxury and warmth of The Chedi Hegra.
• Shift Flexibility: Demonstrate adaptability by accommodating varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and peak service periods, to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess the following core competencies:

• Experience: A proven track record as a Barista in a hotel, café, or specialty coffee setting, with a deep understanding of coffee culture and preparation techniques.
• Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive expertise in coffee brewing methods, equipment operation, and beverage presentation, coupled with a keen eye for detail.
• Customer-Centric Mindset: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to connect with guests, anticipate their needs, and deliver service that exceeds expectations.
• Professionalism: A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment while maintaining composure and efficiency.
• Hygiene & Safety: A steadfast commitment to cleanliness, hygiene, and adherence to food safety protocols to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for all guests.
