Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Engineer (Rigs & Offshore), your core responsibilities will encompass a wide range of technical and managerial tasks, including:

• Project Planning and Coordination: Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets in alignment with client requirements and organizational objectives. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Technical Oversight: Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptual design and feasibility studies to installation, testing, and handover. Review engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges in project execution, and implement proactive mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions. Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to uphold the highest standards of workplace safety and environmental compliance.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration to resolve issues, address concerns, and ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate project deliverables to ensure they meet quality benchmarks, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. Implement quality control processes and conduct inspections to verify compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and technical documentation. Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project status, challenges, and key performance indicators.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in offshore and rig projects, with a proven track record in project engineering, execution, and delivery. Experience in the maritime or oil and gas sectors is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and familiarity with offshore engineering standards (e.g., API, DNV, ABS). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities. Strong organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Certifications: Valid certifications in safety management (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) and project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are advantageous.
