Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lifting Engineer to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia, specializing in residential projects. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of lifting operations across our residential construction sites. This position requires a deep understanding of lifting equipment, rigging techniques, and adherence to international safety standards, particularly within the context of the Kingdom’s rapidly expanding residential sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Execution: Oversee and manage all lifting activities for residential construction projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
• Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce rigorous safety protocols in accordance with local regulations (e.g., Saudi Aramco standards, OSHA, and ISO 45001) to mitigate risks associated with lifting operations.
• Equipment Management: Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and certification of lifting equipment, including cranes, hoists, and rigging gear, to ensure operational reliability and compliance with industry standards.
• Technical Expertise: Provide specialized technical guidance on lifting methodologies, load calculations, and rigging plans, collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to optimize efficiency and safety.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of lifting operations, equipment logs, and safety audits, while preparing detailed reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities as required.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and train site personnel on best practices in lifting operations, fostering a culture of safety and accountability across the team.
• Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to lifting operations, ensuring minimal disruption to project schedules while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A certification in crane operations or rigging (e.g., NCCCO) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in lifting engineering, with a proven track record in residential or commercial construction projects. Experience in the Middle East, particularly Saudi Arabia, is advantageous.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of lifting equipment, load charts, and rigging techniques, along with familiarity with software tools for load calculations and project management.
• Certifications: Valid lifting engineer certification (e.g., CPCS, LEEA) and a deep understanding of local regulatory frameworks, including Saudi Labor Law and NEMA standards.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
• Language: Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
