Department Overview

Motorola Solutions is expanding its International Services team and is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Engineer to provide on-site customer support. This role is pivotal in delivering advanced command and control center software solutions powered by Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML). As a Field Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless implementation and maintenance of our cutting-edge technologies, driving customer success and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality technical and operational support for mission-critical IT and Radio systems. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams across various technology stacks, including web, mobile, and middleware, to resolve complex business and technical challenges. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Technical Support and Incident Management: Maintain system performance and availability by managing incidents and performance through established processes. Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and operational key performance indicators.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Field Services Engineers and Technical Support Operations to coordinate activities, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless service delivery.
• Resource and Contract Management: Manage the resource calendar to fulfill all Maintenance Agreement (MA) deliverables and coordinate with the Local Service Delivery Manager (SDM) for contract-related activities.
• Customer Engagement: Conduct regular customer meetings to discuss service availability, performance, and address inquiries related to specific project aspects or the entire project scope. Provide expert technical assistance and advice throughout the Maintenance Agreement lifecycle.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Respond to customer problems directly or through internal interfaces, troubleshoot technical design-related issues, and execute tasks according to established instructions and processes.
• Reporting and Documentation: Attend all scheduled and unscheduled customer meetings, providing detailed reports to the Team Lead and SDM to ensure transparency and accountability.

Basic Requirements

To qualify for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Hold an Engineering or Sciences degree, or possess 4+ years of experience as a System Manager or in Field Service.
• Demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following areas: Broadband PTT, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, IT Systems, or Networking equipment.
• Have legal authorization to work in the specified country indefinitely; employer work permit sponsorship is not available.
• Possess a background in Network/IT, Broadband PTT, or Customer Service.
• Exhibit strong professional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluency in both verbal and written English and Arabic is essential.

Travel Requirements

This position requires extensive travel, with a commitment of 50-75% domestic travel. Relocation support is provided for domestic moves.
