Key Responsibilities

• Financial Operations Management: Oversee the entire accounts payable process, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements, to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounts payable specialists, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance accounts payable processes, leveraging technology and best practices to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Compliance and Controls: Ensure strict adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and company policies to mitigate financial risks and maintain audit readiness.
• Vendor Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating favorable payment terms and resolving any discrepancies or disputes promptly and professionally.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
• Technology Integration: Collaborate with IT and finance teams to implement and optimize accounting software and automation tools, enhancing the accuracy and speed of accounts payable operations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, treasury, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of financial processes across the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounts payable, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial data management.
• Leadership and Communication: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
