Key Responsibilities

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and solutions. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Project Leadership: Lead and oversee mechanical engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, civil engineers, and contractors, to align mechanical systems with project objectives.
• Technical Expertise: Apply advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and structural analysis, to develop innovative solutions. Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and performance evaluations to optimize designs and enhance efficiency.
• Design and Development: Utilize industry-leading software tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit to create detailed mechanical drawings, 3D models, and technical specifications. Ensure compliance with international and local codes, standards, and regulations, including Saudi Building Code (SBC) and ASHRAE guidelines.
• Team Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Conduct regular reviews of work products to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to best practices.
• Problem-Solving and Innovation: Identify and resolve complex engineering challenges through analytical thinking and creative problem-solving. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement cutting-edge solutions that enhance project outcomes.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary technical liaison between the engineering team and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities. Prepare and present technical reports, presentations, and proposals to convey project status, risks, and recommendations effectively.
• Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality control processes to monitor and verify the performance of mechanical systems. Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure installations and operations comply with design specifications and safety protocols.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a recognized university. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PE, CEng) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a senior or leadership role. Experience in the construction, infrastructure, or energy sectors is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Profound expertise in mechanical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, ETABS) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB). Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and sustainable design practices is a plus.
• Certifications: Valid professional engineering license (PE) or equivalent certification. Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or specialized mechanical engineering disciplines are advantageous.

• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a valuable asset.
