About the Company

Our client is a dynamic international engineering consultancy, specializing in major infrastructure, transportation, and multidisciplinary engineering projects across Saudi Arabia. As the business continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Operations Director to provide strategic leadership across project delivery, commercial performance, business development, and operational excellence.

About the Role

Reporting to senior leadership, you will oversee the operational performance of a regional portfolio, ensuring projects are delivered safely, profitably, and to the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading operational performance across a portfolio of major engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Improving project governance, delivery standards, and operational efficiency.
• Supporting Project Directors throughout project mobilisation, execution, and close-out.
• Driving commercial performance, profitability, and forecasting across the portfolio.
• Optimising resource planning and utilisation across multiple projects.
• Building strong relationships with key clients and senior stakeholders.
• Leading resolution of commercial and project delivery challenges.
• Supporting strategic business planning and operational improvement initiatives.
• Leading major bids and proposals from qualification through to submission and client presentations.
• Mentoring, developing, and leading multidisciplinary teams across the region.
• Contributing to the continued growth of the business across Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 15+ years' experience within engineering consultancy or professional services.
• Extensive experience leading multidisciplinary engineering project portfolios.
• Strong commercial and financial management capability.
• Experience managing major bids, proposals, and client pursuits.
• Proven ability to improve operational performance and project governance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working across Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC is highly desirable.
• Chartered Engineer, PMP, or equivalent professional accreditation would be advantageous.
