Key Responsibilities

The Resident Engineer will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of engineering tasks to ensure compliance with project requirements. Your core duties will include:

• Technical Oversight: Providing expert guidance on engineering design, construction methodologies, and quality assurance protocols to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry best practices.
• Quality Control: Conducting regular inspections and audits to verify that all construction activities meet the required standards, including structural integrity, material quality, and safety protocols.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining comprehensive records of project progress, including daily reports, inspection logs, and compliance documentation. Preparing detailed technical reports for stakeholders and regulatory bodies as required.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Acting as the liaison between the project team, clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to facilitate seamless communication and resolve any technical or operational challenges.
• Problem Resolution: Identifying potential issues in a timely manner and implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure project continuity.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, CEng) is highly desirable.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role within the construction industry. Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, construction methodologies, and quality control processes. Familiarity with industry-standard software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera) is essential.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges, coupled with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Certifications: Valid professional engineering license or certification relevant to the jurisdiction of Jeddah. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is mandatory.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a strong advantage.
