Data Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team at WISKOTS. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for transforming raw data from diverse business functions into accurate, meaningful, and actionable insights that drive informed decision-making across the organization. Your expertise will support leadership and departmental teams in monitoring performance, identifying emerging trends, evaluating operational efficiency, and enhancing reporting quality. Additionally, you will develop and maintain reliable dashboards and analytical reports that provide clear visibility into key business metrics.

Key Responsibilities

The Data Analyst will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Business Development, Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, Inventory, QHSE, and other relevant departments. Your responsibilities will encompass the following areas:

Data Collection and Management

• Data Acquisition: Gather data from multiple sources, including business systems, spreadsheets, reports, databases, and departmental records, ensuring comprehensive coverage of operational and business activities.
• Data Consolidation: Integrate information from various functions into structured and reliable datasets, maintaining consistency and accuracy throughout the process.
• Data Validation: Review datasets for completeness, consistency, accuracy, and validity. Identify and address missing, duplicated, inconsistent, or inaccurate data through coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Standardization: Develop and maintain standardized data-entry templates, reporting formats, and clear data definitions, classifications, naming conventions, and reporting rules to ensure uniformity across the organization.
• Record Keeping: Maintain organized records of source data, calculations, assumptions, and report versions to ensure traceability and transparency.
• Master Data Management: Support the development of controlled master-data records for customers, suppliers, employees, projects, equipment, inventory, and services, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Confidentiality: Ensure the proper handling of confidential and commercially sensitive information in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Data Analysis

• Operational and Financial Analysis: Analyze operational, financial, commercial, human-resource, inventory, procurement, and project data to identify trends, correlations, patterns, variances, exceptions, and performance gaps.
• Performance Evaluation: Compare actual performance against targets, budgets, schedules, forecasts, and historical results to assess progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Root-Cause Analysis: Conduct in-depth analyses to determine the underlying causes of significant deviations or recurring issues, providing actionable recommendations for resolution.
• Analytical Modeling: Develop analytical models to support operational planning, business decisions, and scenario analysis, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• Productivity and Efficiency Analysis: Perform productivity, utilization, cost, revenue, profitability, and efficiency analyses to optimize resource allocation and operational effectiveness.
• Project Performance Analysis: Evaluate project performance by analyzing manpower deployment, equipment use, working hours, progress, delays, standby, and cost impacts to enhance project execution.
• Forecasting Support: Assist in forecasting and scenario analysis based on available business data, providing insights that inform strategic planning and decision-making.

Reporting and Dashboards

• Management Reporting: Prepare periodic management reports, dashboards, charts, summaries, and analytical presentations that present complex information in a clear and understandable format.
• KPI Dashboards: Develop and maintain key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards tailored to different departments and management levels, enabling real-time monitoring of critical metrics.
• Automation: Automate recurring reports where practical and appropriate to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Consistency and Accuracy: Ensure consistency between source data, calculations, dashboards, and final reports, maintaining high standards of accuracy and reliability.
• Exception Reporting: Develop exception reports that highlight significant deviations, risks, and required management actions, providing concise analytical commentary on changes, underlying causes, and potential business impact.
• Performance Reviews: Support monthly, quarterly, and annual performance-review processes by providing accurate and timely data-driven insights.

Zoho and Business-System Support

• Data Extraction and Analysis: Extract, consolidate, and analyze data from Zoho applications and other company systems to support reporting and decision-making.
• Reporting and Dashboard Development: Utilize Zoho capabilities to develop and enhance reporting tools and dashboards that provide actionable insights.
• Data Quality Improvement: Assist departments in improving the quality and consistency of data entered into Zoho, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• System Review: Evaluate workflows, fields, classifications, and reporting structures from a data-analysis perspective to identify opportunities for enhancement.
• Technical Coordination: Collaborate with system administrators or external providers to address technical configurations and support data-related initiatives.
• Data Migration and Cleansing: Support data migration, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation activities to ensure data integrity and usability.
• Report Suitability: Ensure that all reports are accurate, timely, traceable, and suitable for management decision-making.

Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development, with a strong portfolio of work demonstrating analytical and visualization skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel (including advanced functions and Power Query), and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Experience with Zoho Analytics or similar platforms is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy, consistency, and security.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to support decision-making.
• Familiarity with data governance principles, master data management, and data quality frameworks.
• Experience in supporting financial, operational, or project performance analysis is advantageous.
