Accounts Payable Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join our dynamic team at Business Tribune Global Company Ltd, based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and processing all company payments, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Payment Processing: Accurately process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments while adhering to company policies and contractual agreements.
• Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable ledgers to ensure alignment with general ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Vendor Management: Maintain strong relationships with vendors by addressing inquiries, resolving disputes, and negotiating favorable payment terms to optimize cash flow.
• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all accounts payable activities comply with local and international financial regulations, tax laws, and internal controls. Prepare and submit accurate financial reports as required.
• Expense Tracking: Monitor and track company expenses, including petty cash, employee reimbursements, and procurement activities, to maintain financial integrity.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounts payable processes, implement best practices, and leverage technology to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Audit Support: Assist internal and external auditors by providing necessary documentation, clarifications, and support to facilitate smooth audit processes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounts payable, preferably within a corporate or multinational environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly with advanced functions and pivot tables.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, or potential risks.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and senior management.
• Organizational Abilities: Strong time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines in a high-volume transactional environment.
