Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customs Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Riyadh. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in logistics and customs operations who excel in fast-paced environments and are dedicated to maintaining seamless operational workflows. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient clearance of shipments, fostering strong stakeholder relationships, and upholding the highest standards of compliance and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Coordination: Oversee and manage daily customs and operational activities to guarantee smooth and uninterrupted workflows.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between customs authorities, customs brokers, Gateway (GTW) teams, internal operations, and other key stakeholders to facilitate clear and timely communication.
• Shipment Tracking & Clearance: Monitor shipments meticulously and follow up on customs clearance processes to ensure timely execution and minimize delays.
• Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain precise operational records and generate detailed reports using Microsoft Excel and internal systems to support data-driven decision-making.
• Issue Resolution: Collaborate with relevant departments to identify, analyze, and resolve operational challenges efficiently and proactively.
• Compliance Assurance: Ensure strict adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards to mitigate risks and maintain operational integrity.
• Communication & Escalation: Facilitate effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders to uphold exceptional service standards and promptly escalate operational exceptions to management with actionable updates.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness within the customs and logistics framework.
• Shift Flexibility: Demonstrate adaptability by working on rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required by business operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Nationality: Saudi National.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in logistics, customs operations, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong IT literacy with experience using operational software and systems.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills. Must thrive in high-pressure environments and demonstrate a proactive approach to task management.
