Position Overview

As a Junior Front-End Developer at PULSE (MENA), you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and maintenance of modern web applications and user interfaces. Collaborating closely with seasoned developers, designers, and product teams, you will assist in creating responsive, accessible, and visually compelling digital experiences while honing your technical skills in a supportive and growth-oriented environment. This role is tailored for early-career professionals, recent graduates, or individuals with hands-on experience through internships, freelance projects, or personal initiatives who are eager to establish a strong foundation in front-end development.

Key Responsibilities

Front-End Development

• Develop responsive and mobile-friendly web pages using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, ensuring optimal performance across all devices.
• Assist in building reusable UI components and interactive interfaces to enhance user engagement and functionality.
• Translate UI/UX design mockups into clean, functional, and responsive web applications with meticulous attention to detail.
• Optimize websites and applications for speed, performance, and usability to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Test and maintain compatibility across modern browsers and devices to ensure broad accessibility.

Application Maintenance

• Debug and resolve front-end issues and performance bottlenecks to maintain application integrity.
• Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of existing web applications, ensuring they remain up-to-date and efficient.
• Assist in implementing new features and improving user experience based on feedback and analytics.
• Perform routine code updates and maintenance tasks to uphold high standards of quality and reliability.

Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with UI/UX designers, back-end developers, and product managers to align development efforts with project goals.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to foster a culture of transparency and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to code reviews and team discussions to share knowledge and refine technical solutions.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and technical solutions effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

Code Quality

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices and development standards.
• Follow version control procedures to ensure code integrity and facilitate seamless collaboration.
• Participate in testing, quality assurance, and bug-fixing activities to uphold the highest standards of product excellence.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 0–2 years of experience in front-end development or web development, with internship, freelance, academic, or personal project experience highly encouraged.
• Solid understanding of responsive web design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with Git version control and collaborative development workflows.

Required Technical Skills

• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+), with a strong foundation in core web technologies.
• Basic experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React.js, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Understanding of responsive CSS frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS to streamline development.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON for seamless data integration and communication.
• Knowledge of browser developer tools and debugging techniques to troubleshoot and optimize applications.
• Awareness of responsive design principles, web accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing personal, academic, or portfolio web projects that demonstrate initiative and creativity.
• Familiarity with TypeScript for enhanced code maintainability and scalability.
