Finance Business Partner

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Finance Business Partner to collaborate closely with our founders and leadership team in shaping and scaling the finance function. This role is tailored for a results-driven professional who excels in financial and commercial analysis while embodying an entrepreneurial mindset. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, operates effectively across departments, and possesses the ability to design and implement scalable reporting and decision-support frameworks from inception. This position will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, enhancing operational efficiency, and providing actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for a broad range of financial and analytical functions, including:

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Business Partnering

• Lead the end-to-end financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with founders and business leaders to monitor, evaluate, and enhance business performance through insightful financial analysis and recommendations.
• Drive monthly and quarterly business reviews, presenting key financial insights and actionable strategies to functional stakeholders.

Reporting and Analytics

• Develop and maintain comprehensive management reporting packs, KPI dashboards, and analytical tools to support informed decision-making.
• Facilitate board and investor reporting by delivering accurate, timely, and high-impact financial insights and presentations.
• Partner with Technology and Operations teams to enhance data availability, automate reporting processes, and improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
• Design and implement scalable reporting infrastructure using advanced tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms to streamline data visualization and analysis.

Controllership Support

• Work in tandem with Accounting and Finance Operations teams to ensure consistency and alignment between operational and financial reporting frameworks.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Management.
• Possess a minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience, with a preference for candidates who have operated in high-growth, fast-paced, or multinational environments.
• Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, financial modeling expertise, and a problem-solving mindset to address complex financial challenges.
• Exhibit advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, with the ability to manipulate large datasets and perform detailed financial analysis.
• Possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial audiences.
• Have a proven track record of building reporting processes, dashboards, or finance functions from the ground up, showcasing initiative and adaptability.
• Operate effectively as an individual contributor, demonstrating self-sufficiency and the ability to deliver results without extensive support structures.
• Showcase technical proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, including Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or equivalent platforms.
• Prior experience collaborating with founders, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams is highly desirable.
• A professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent is considered a strong asset.
