Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dermatology Consultant to join our esteemed medical team at Nahdi Care Clinics (NCC). In this pivotal role, you will provide expert diagnostic and therapeutic care to patients presenting with dermatological conditions, ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence, patient safety, and professional integrity. Your responsibilities will encompass comprehensive patient assessments, evidence-based treatment planning, and proactive health education to promote optimal outcomes. Key Responsibilities

The Dermatology Consultant will be accountable for the following core duties and responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough examinations of patients, including detailed medical histories, to accurately diagnose dermatological conditions. Utilize clinical judgment to identify symptoms, assess severity, and determine appropriate diagnostic pathways.
• Treatment Planning and Implementation: Design and execute individualized patient care plans in alignment with best practices and clinical guidelines. Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
• Patient Education and Counseling: Empower patients through clear, compassionate education on their health conditions, required investigations, treatment options, and medication regimens. Provide guidance on preventive healthcare, hygiene practices, and dietary considerations tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Clinical Documentation and Compliance: Maintain meticulous and accurate patient records in accordance with NCC policies, CBAHI standards, and regulatory requirements. Ensure all documentation reflects current clinical findings, interventions, and follow-up plans.
• Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective working relationships with multidisciplinary teams, including other departments within NCC, local healthcare agencies, vendors, and external stakeholders. Serve as a liaison to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and operational efficiency.
• Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement: Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and program evaluations to uphold and enhance standards of care. Stay abreast of emerging trends, research, and technological advancements in dermatology to integrate evidence-based practices into daily operations.
• Professional Development and Leadership: Mentor and support junior staff through continuous professional development programs, including educational rounds, conferences, lectures, and journal clubs. Contribute to the development and execution of Continuing Medical Education (CME) initiatives within the department.
• Operational and Administrative Duties: Adhere to NCC’s mission, vision, and strategic objectives while ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks, including CBAHI standards. Participate in departmental and organizational committees and task forces as assigned.
• Emergency Preparedness: Complete all fire safety and emergency preparedness requirements to ensure a secure and compliant work environment. Maintain attendance and punctuality in accordance with departmental and organizational standards.

Specialty Privileges and Additional Responsibilities

The Dermatology Consultant will perform tasks aligned with their clinical privileges, as defined by the Saudi Health Council and NCC guidelines. This may include specialized procedures or interventions based on individual training, experience, and expertise. The role may also involve additional responsibilities as determined by the Head of Department to meet organizational needs.

Work Environment and Schedule

The position operates in a fully indoor clinical setting, with a structured schedule of six working days per week and one designated day off. Working hours are eight net hours per day, following a shift schedule approved by the Head of Department. This role requires a commitment to excellence, adaptability, and a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications and Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution. A Master’s degree in Dermatology or a related specialty from an accredited university, or a Fellowship approved by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS), is required.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of postgraduate clinical experience in dermatology, or eligibility to sit for the board examination in the specialty. Prior experience in occupational health is advantageous.
• Licensure and Certification: Valid SCFHS license as a Registrar in Dermatology. Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) are mandatory.
• Technical and Language Proficiency: Proficiency in office and health information systems, with strong computer skills. Fluency in both English and Arabic, both written and verbal, is essential.
