Key Responsibilities

The Road Inspector will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency throughout the construction process. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring Construction Activities: Oversee daily road construction operations to ensure adherence to approved drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements. Verify that all work is executed in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
• Quality Assurance and Control: Conduct thorough inspections of site works to identify any deviations, defects, or execution issues. Assess materials, workmanship, and construction methods to ensure compliance with quality benchmarks and project documentation.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed inspection reports, including observations, findings, and recommendations for corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of daily activities, inspections, and compliance status to support project documentation and audits.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate closely with site engineers, contractors, and project managers to address technical challenges, resolve issues, and facilitate seamless project execution. Serve as a liaison between field operations and project leadership to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Safety and Compliance: Enforce project safety protocols, quality standards, and technical specifications to mitigate risks and ensure a secure working environment. Verify that all activities comply with local regulations, environmental guidelines, and company policies.

Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is required. Additional certifications or training in civil engineering, construction management, or related fields are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of five years of hands-on experience as a Road Inspector, with a proven track record in road and infrastructure projects. Prior exposure to large-scale construction projects is highly desirable.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of road construction methods, materials, and quality standards. Familiarity with industry regulations, testing procedures, and compliance requirements is essential.
• Field Skills: Ability to work effectively in a dynamic site environment, often under challenging conditions. Strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are critical for identifying and addressing issues promptly.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with stakeholders, document findings, and present reports clearly and professionally.
