Key Responsibilities

As a Family Medicine Consultant, your core responsibilities will include:

• Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough clinical, socioeconomic, psychological, and functional assessments for patients, documenting findings meticulously in medical records. Develop and implement evidence-based care plans that adhere to established standards, ensuring timely execution and follow-up.
• Inpatient Management: Serve as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP) for inpatients under your care. Conduct daily assessments, document progress using the SOAP format, and develop comprehensive discharge plans on the day of admission. Collaborate with discharge-planning services to facilitate seamless transitions of care.
• Clinical Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all medical interventions, consultations, and patient interactions. Ensure strict adherence to Fakeeh Care’s documentation standards and regulatory requirements, including the completion and authentication of discharge summaries with clear instructions for patients and caregivers.
• Consultation and Collaboration: Respond promptly to medical consultations and actively participate in departmental meetings to contribute innovative ideas that drive efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction. Engage in teaching rounds and educational activities as requested by the department chairperson to support the professional development of colleagues and trainees.
• Patient and Family Education: Empower patients and their families with the knowledge they need to manage health conditions, adhere to treatment plans, and adopt preventive measures. Foster a culture of health literacy and proactive self-care within the community.
• Operational and Administrative Duties: Attend to facility duties and respond to calls as per the departmental schedule. Uphold Fakeeh Care’s values by actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives, safety protocols, and cybersecurity awareness programs. Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and ethical conduct in all professional interactions.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you must meet the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education and Licensure: Completion of structured training in Family Medicine or a subspecialty from a recognized medical center, along with the highest clinical degree in the field. Must hold a valid license to practice as per the regional health regulatory authority (e.g., SCFHS, DHA, or equivalent).
• Clinical Experience: Demonstrated experience in primary care settings, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and adherence to clinical guidelines is essential.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities in both English and Arabic, enabling effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and administrative tasks.
• Organizational and Stress Management: Strong organizational skills with the capacity to thrive in high-pressure environments. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain composure under demanding circumstances.
