Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our healthcare team. Key Responsibilities

The Patient Care Technician will be responsible for a wide range of duties designed to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Environmental and Supply Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and well-supplied clinic environment on a daily basis to ensure readiness for patient care and clinical procedures.
• Assistance to Physicians: Support physicians during patient examinations by preparing and arranging necessary equipment, ensuring a smooth and efficient clinical workflow.
• Patient Flow Coordination: Organize and manage clinic activities to optimize patient flow, reduce wait times, and enhance the overall patient experience.
• Documentation and Administrative Support: Accurately complete and process required documents, including claims, referrals, admissions, and other administrative tasks in a timely manner.
• Patient Status Monitoring: Track patient status and coordinate with laboratory and radiology departments to ensure timely and accurate completion of diagnostic procedures.
• Communication and Telephone Etiquette: Answer incoming calls professionally, relay messages accurately, and address general inquiries from visitors and patients with courtesy and efficiency.
• Compliance and Safety: Adhere to JCIA/CBAHI standards for patient safety, infection control protocols, and nursing documentation policies. Maintain strict patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Emergency Response: Initiate emergency and resuscitative measures when necessary, demonstrating readiness and competence in critical situations.
• Patient Education: Provide patients and their families with the necessary education and guidance to promote understanding and adherence to treatment plans.
• Clinical Procedures: Perform essential nursing procedures within the scope of practice, including vital sign checks, pulse oximetry, weight and height measurements, glucose monitoring, ECG, and pain assessments.
• Professional Development: Attend required meetings, educational activities, and training sessions to maintain and enhance your competency in line with HMG policies and MOH regulations.
• Team Collaboration: Report any observations or concerns regarding a patient’s condition to the supervisor or charge nurse without delay. Participate in person-centered care initiatives to enrich the patient experience with compassion, respect, and dignity.
• Additional Duties: Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned, ensuring alignment with your knowledge, skills, and professional scope of practice.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you must meet the following qualifications and professional standards:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Science is required. Completion of a Patient Care Technician (PCT) Program is mandatory.
• Experience: Prior healthcare experience is preferred, though fresh graduates with a strong interest in healthcare are encouraged to apply.
• Licensing and Certification: A valid license from the Saudi Council is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also mandatory.
• Professional Attributes: Demonstrated commitment to punctuality, attendance, and adherence to dress code policies. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
