Director of Information Technology – SAP Systems Leadership Role

We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Director of Information Technology with specialized expertise in SAP systems to spearhead our IT strategy, optimize SAP operations, and drive impactful digital transformation initiatives. This pivotal leadership role will be responsible for shaping the technological roadmap, ensuring seamless integration of SAP solutions, and aligning IT infrastructure with business objectives to foster sustainable growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will oversee a comprehensive portfolio of responsibilities, including:

• Strategic IT Leadership: Develop and execute a forward-thinking IT strategy that leverages SAP systems to enhance efficiency, scalability, and innovation across the organization. Align technology initiatives with long-term business goals to deliver measurable value.
• SAP Systems Management: Provide expert oversight of SAP environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance. Lead SAP implementation, upgrades, and integrations while maintaining alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• IT Infrastructure Oversight: Direct the planning, deployment, and maintenance of robust IT infrastructure that supports SAP and other critical business applications. Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance system reliability, performance, and cybersecurity.
• Digital Transformation Leadership: Champion digital transformation initiatives by identifying opportunities to modernize processes through SAP and other innovative solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cutting-edge technologies that drive operational agility and competitive advantage.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between IT and executive leadership, business units, and external partners. Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights to facilitate informed decision-making and foster collaborative relationships.
• Team Leadership and Development: Build and mentor a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and innovation. Ensure the team is equipped with the skills and resources necessary to deliver exceptional results.
• Risk Management and Compliance: Establish and enforce IT policies, standards, and governance frameworks to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies. Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect critical data and systems.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Proven SAP Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience with SAP systems, including implementation, configuration, and optimization. Familiarity with SAP modules such as FI, CO, MM, SD, and HR is highly desirable.
• Leadership in IT Management: A track record of success in leading IT teams and managing complex IT projects, with a focus on delivering tangible business outcomes.
• Strategic Business Acumen: A deep understanding of IT infrastructure, business processes, and the ability to align technology initiatives with organizational goals. Experience in digital transformation and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
• Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and influence decision-makers at all levels.
• Industry Certifications: Relevant certifications in SAP, IT governance, project management, or cybersecurity are advantageous.
• Location: This position is based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and requires on-site presence to effectively lead and engage with the team and stakeholders.
