Key Responsibilities

The General Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of The Ritz-Carlton, Makkah, by leading a diverse team of professionals dedicated to delivering unparalleled hospitality. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Operational Leadership: Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring seamless execution of services, adherence to brand standards, and compliance with corporate policies and local regulations. This includes managing front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, engineering, and security departments.
• Financial Performance: Develop and implement strategic financial plans to achieve revenue targets, optimize profitability, and maintain cost efficiency while upholding the hotel’s luxury positioning. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Guest Experience Excellence: Champion a guest-centric culture by fostering an environment where every team member is empowered to anticipate and exceed guest expectations. Ensure that service delivery aligns with The Ritz-Carlton’s renowned Three Steps of Service and Gold Standards.
• Talent Development & Leadership: Lead a high-performing executive team and cultivate a talent pipeline through mentorship, training, and performance management. Foster a diverse and inclusive workplace where innovation and collaboration thrive.
• Strategic Growth & Innovation: Collaborate with corporate leadership to identify opportunities for expansion, service enhancements, and market differentiation. Drive initiatives that elevate the hotel’s reputation as a destination of choice for discerning travelers and pilgrims.
• Community & Stakeholder Engagement: Represent The Ritz-Carlton, Makkah, in the local community and among key stakeholders, including government entities, business partners, and industry associations. Build strong relationships to support the hotel’s long-term success and sustainability.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a proven track record in luxury hospitality management, with at least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in a five-star hotel environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• A bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in leadership and hospitality are highly desirable.
• Extensive experience in managing large-scale operations, including revenue management, budgeting, and P&L accountability.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams across diverse cultural backgrounds.
• A deep understanding of luxury service standards and a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a strong advantage.
