Position Overview

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at QARYAH is a pivotal leadership role responsible for steering the financial strategy and operations of the organization. Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this full-time, on-site position demands a strategic visionary with a strong command of financial management, regulatory compliance, and executive leadership. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the financial health of the organization by overseeing budgeting, cash flow management, and long-term financial planning that aligns with QARYAH’s strategic objectives. This role requires a meticulous approach to financial reporting, internal controls, and risk management, ensuring transparency and accountability at every level.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies that support QARYAH’s growth and sustainability, including budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning. Collaborate with the executive team to align financial goals with organizational objectives.
• Financial Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the preparation of accurate, timely, and compliant financial statements for internal stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and external partners. Ensure adherence to international accounting standards (IFRS) and regional regulations, including those specific to Saudi Arabia and the GCC.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability. Build a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and operational efficiency.
• Risk Management and Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks, safeguard assets, and ensure compliance with governance frameworks. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures.
• Strategic Decision Support: Provide data-driven insights and financial analysis to support executive decision-making, including investment evaluations, cost optimization initiatives, and performance improvement programs. Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and board members on financial matters.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Represent QARYAH in financial discussions with investors, regulators, auditors, and other key stakeholders. Deliver clear, concise, and compelling presentations to convey financial performance, risks, and opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a strong academic foundation in finance, accounting, or business, complemented by extensive professional experience in corporate financial management. The ideal candidate will have:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, with professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or CFA considered a significant advantage.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles, with a proven track record in strategic financial planning, financial reporting, and risk management.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, including the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Strong leadership capabilities, with a history of building and leading high-performing finance teams in dynamic environments.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, enabling effective engagement with senior executives, board members, and external stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of regional financial regulations and practices in Saudi Arabia or the GCC, with a commitment to staying abreast of evolving compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, along with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools.
