Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Strategic Leadership in Large-Scale Project Development
Join our dynamic team as a **Senior Infrastructure Engineer**, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical backbone of one of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in the region. Reporting directly to the General Manager of Network Development & Maintenance (NDM), this position demands a seasoned professional with a deep expertise in site-wide infrastructure planning, execution oversight, and cross-functional alignment. Based in **Jeddah** with regular travel to the **Rabigh Special Project site** and other operational locations, this role offers a unique opportunity to drive excellence in infrastructure development while contributing to long-term strategic growth.
As the **owner-side technical authority**, you will be responsible for defining, validating, and governing all critical infrastructure systems—including utilities, roads, drainage, grading, and service corridors—ensuring seamless integration with the approved master plan and Petromin’s operational expansion roadmap. Your leadership will ensure that infrastructure solutions are not only technically sound but also scalable, cost-effective, and aligned with phased construction requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of strategic and operational responsibilities, including:
- Strategic Infrastructure Governance: Develop and oversee site-wide infrastructure strategies that align with master planning, building layouts, and future expansion needs, ensuring long-term sustainability and minimal rework.
- Technical Validation & Consultant Oversight: Review, challenge, and validate infrastructure deliverables from consultants, ensuring adherence to technical standards, quality benchmarks, and project requirements.
- Contractor Compliance & Execution: Monitor contractor performance to guarantee compliance with approved designs, specifications, and technical standards, mitigating risks and ensuring on-time delivery.
- Risk Identification & Mitigation: Proactively identify infrastructure gaps, capacity constraints, or execution risks, proposing data-driven solutions to optimize performance and cost efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the **Senior Architectural Lead** and other stakeholders to harmonize infrastructure planning with overall site development, fostering seamless coordination across disciplines.
- Phased Development & Future-Proofing: Ensure infrastructure planning supports phased construction, early works, and future expansion, incorporating geotechnical, topographical, and environmental inputs for resilient design.
- Value Engineering & Optimization: Lead value engineering initiatives to enhance infrastructure design, reduce costs, and improve constructability without compromising quality or functionality.
- Documentation & Knowledge Management: Maintain structured records of infrastructure assumptions, design decisions, risks, and consultant outputs to ensure transparency and continuity in project execution.
- Strategic Support to Leadership: Provide expert infrastructure assessments and technical reviews to the **General Manager of NDM**, supporting cross-functional organizational requirements across multiple projects.

Qualifications & Experience

- Industry Experience: **15-20 years** of hands-on experience in **infrastructure engineering and large-scale project development**, with a proven track record in **industrial, logistics, or automotive environments**. Experience in **owner-side or consultant management roles** is essential.
