Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Key Responsibilities

• Patient-Centered Care: Assist patients in developing, recovering, or maintaining essential daily living and work-related skills, enabling them to lead more independent and fulfilling lives.
• Motor and Cognitive Rehabilitation: Support patients in improving their basic motor functions, reasoning abilities, and overall physical dexterity through targeted exercises and therapeutic interventions.
• Activity Adaptation: Guide patients in performing a wide range of activities, from using technology to managing personal care tasks such as dressing, cooking, and eating, ensuring they can navigate daily challenges with confidence.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Implement advanced modalities to enhance decision-making, abstract reasoning, problem-solving, perceptual skills, memory, sequencing, and coordination, fostering holistic cognitive and physical development.
• Adaptive Equipment and Environmental Modifications: Instruct patients with permanent disabilities on the safe and effective use of adaptive equipment, including wheelchairs and orthotics. Design and create specialized equipment tailored to individual needs at home, work, or educational settings.
• Vocational Rehabilitation: Collaborate with patients and employers to evaluate work environments, plan meaningful work activities, and modify workspaces to accommodate individual capabilities, ensuring successful job performance and career sustainability.
• Home and Workplace Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ homes, workplaces, or classrooms to identify potential hazards. Recommend restorative or safety adaptations to create supportive and accessible environments.
• Caregiver Education: Provide comprehensive guidance to family members and caregivers on safe and effective methods for supporting individuals with disabilities or health challenges, ensuring continuity of care and well-being.
• Progress Evaluation and Reporting: Regularly evaluate patients’ progress, document outcomes in detailed reports, and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal results and long-term success.
• Collaborative Practice: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, physical therapists, and social workers, to deliver integrated and holistic care that addresses all aspects of a patient’s well-being.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and professional attributes:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. Advanced degrees or certifications are highly desirable and may provide additional career opportunities.
