Your Role

As a Cost Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial efficiency and strategic decision-making within our organization. Key Responsibilities

• Cost Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of manufacturing conversion costs, purchase price variances, and inventory cost variances to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Variance Analysis: Evaluate material, labor, overhead, and absorption variances to ensure accurate financial reporting and cost control.
• Strategic Support: Provide critical support to the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process through comprehensive cost, inventory, and financial analysis.
• Budget & Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) and Operational Expenditure (OPEX) performance against budget, forecast, and prior year results.
• Working Capital Optimization: Track and optimize key working capital metrics, including Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO), Days Payable Outstanding (DPO), and inventory aging to enhance liquidity and operational efficiency.
• Standard Costing & Valuation: Maintain precise standard costing models, inventory valuation methodologies, and month-end cost accounting processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Investment Analysis: Prepare Return on Investment (ROI) analyses and compelling business cases for capital investments and cost-saving initiatives to support informed decision-making.
• Reporting & Dashboards: Develop and deliver management reports, dashboards, and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analyses using Power BI to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to drive cost efficiency, financial control, and operational excellence across the organization.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4-8 years of progressive experience in Cost Accounting or Supply Chain Finance, with a proven track record of delivering financial insights in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP or Oracle, with hands-on experience in Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
• Demonstrated experience in international manufacturing within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, with a deep understanding of cost structures and financial controls.
• Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and levels of the organization.
