We are seeking enthusiastic, compassionate, and energetic Explorer Associates to lead engaging activities and provide exceptional care for our youngest guests. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in creating a safe, inviting, and stimulating environment where children can learn, play, and forge lasting memories. From creative arts and outdoor adventures to cultural experiences and wellness-inspired activities, you will bring the Explorer program to life while upholding the personalized service that defines the Rosewood brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Engagement & Hospitality: Warmly welcome children and families with enthusiasm and genuine hospitality, ensuring a positive first impression and fostering a sense of belonging.
• Activity Leadership: Design, plan, and facilitate a diverse range of recreational, educational, creative, cultural, and wellness-inspired activities tailored to different age groups, encouraging active participation and learning.
• Child Supervision & Safety: Maintain constant vigilance to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment of all children under your care, adhering to Rosewood’s stringent child safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Professional Childcare: Provide high-quality childcare and babysitting services upon request, following parent instructions and Rosewood’s established guidelines to deliver a secure and nurturing experience.
• Personalized Experiences: Develop meaningful connections with each child by understanding their unique interests and preferences, fostering an environment where they feel encouraged to participate and thrive.
• Facility & Resource Management: Prepare and organize activity materials, maintain the Explorer space in a clean, orderly, and safe condition, and ensure all equipment and facilities are guest-ready at all times.
• Administrative Duties: Accurately manage child registration, attendance records, and sign-in/sign-out procedures to maintain compliance and accountability.
• Equipment & Maintenance Oversight: Regularly inspect toys, games, and activity equipment, reporting any maintenance concerns promptly to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests.
• Event & Community Support: Collaborate in the planning and execution of family events, seasonal celebrations, and resort-wide activities to enhance the overall guest experience.
• Relationship Building: Cultivate positive, professional relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, embodying Rosewood’s core principle of Relationship Hospitality to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: A Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Hospitality, Recreation, Education, or a related field is preferred.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working with children in a luxury hotel Kids Club, childcare center, nursery, school, summer camp, or recreational setting.
• Activity Planning: Proven ability to design and facilitate age-appropriate recreational and educational activities that engage and inspire young minds.
• Childcare Expertise: Prior experience providing professional childcare or babysitting services is highly advantageous.
• Child Development Knowledge: Strong understanding of child development principles, safeguarding protocols, and best practices in child safety.
• Certifications: Current Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification is highly desirable and may be required.
• Personal Attributes: A friendly, energetic, patient, and genuinely passionate demeanor with a strong commitment to working with children.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, coupled with a positive, service-oriented attitude and the ability to engage effectively with guests of all ages.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent spoken English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is considered a valuable asset.
