In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining seamless production processes, ensuring high efficiency, and contributing to the achievement of key performance targets. As a key member of a collaborative shift team—comprising up to 15 associates—you will take ownership of a designated set of machines, equipment, and processes, ensuring they operate at peak performance while adhering to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operational Excellence: Perform routine tasks such as machine start-ups, shut-downs, monitoring, cleaning, and basic changeovers to maintain optimal production workflows.
• Process Accountability: Conduct routine checks, inspections, and minor repairs to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Utilize your mechanical knowledge and experience to diagnose and resolve mechanical breakdowns, escalating issues as necessary to ensure minimal downtime.
• Clear Communication: Provide thorough, accurate verbal and written handover reports to facilitate seamless transitions between shifts.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with your team to contribute to target achievement and uphold the company’s commitment to operational excellence.

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

• A minimum educational qualification of GCSE level or equivalent.
• Proficient verbal and written English communication skills.
• Experience within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or factory operations industry is highly desirable.
• Mechanical training or hands-on experience in fault-finding and equipment maintenance will be advantageous.
