Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Maintenance-Helper to join our team at Le Méridien in Almadinah Almunawwarah, Saudi Arabia. In this essential role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by performing a wide range of minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and general upkeep tasks. Key Responsibilities

The Maintenance-Helper will be responsible for a variety of tasks to support the overall maintenance and upkeep of our property. Your duties will include:

• Plumbing and Minor Repairs: Addressing minor plumbing issues such as unclogging drains, plunging toilets, and repairing leaky faucets and spigots. Perform general repairs like tightening loose toilet seats, replacing light bulbs, and patching small holes in walls.
• Preventative Maintenance: Conducting routine maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and basic servicing to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhering to all company safety, security, and operational policies. Reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly. Completing required safety training and certifications to maintain a secure work environment.
• Guest and Team Interaction: Welcoming and acknowledging guests in accordance with company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs, and providing assistance to individuals with disabilities. Maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Physical Requirements: Performing tasks that involve reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Visually inspecting tools, equipment, or machines to identify potential issues. Handling objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently and assisting with items exceeding 100 pounds, such as air conditioning units or furniture.
• Team Collaboration: Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues, actively listening to their concerns, and responding appropriately. Ensuring adherence to quality standards and contributing to a cohesive team environment.
• Additional Duties: Undertaking other reasonable job responsibilities as assigned by supervisors to support the overall operation of the maintenance department.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Education: A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
• Experience: No prior work experience in maintenance is necessary, as full training will be provided.
• Physical Demands: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects of varying weights and sizes. Comfort with moving up and down stairs, service ramps, and ladders.
• Professionalism: A commitment to maintaining a clean and professional appearance, handling proprietary information with confidentiality, and protecting company assets.
• Communication: Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to speak clearly and professionally with guests and team members alike.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a willingness to support the team in achieving operational excellence.
