Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Psychological Therapist to join our esteemed team. Key Responsibilities
- Psychological Assessments and Evaluations: Conduct thorough psychological assessments and clinical evaluations to identify patients' mental health needs, strengths, and challenges. Utilize standardized tools and evidence-based methodologies to ensure accurate and insightful evaluations.
- Individualized Treatment Planning: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that align with each patient's unique psychological, emotional, and rehabilitative goals. Ensure that plans are dynamic, adaptable, and responsive to patients' evolving needs.
- Evidence-Based Therapy and Counseling: Deliver high-quality, evidence-based psychological therapy and counseling services to support patients in overcoming mental health challenges. Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and solution-focused approaches, to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Progress Monitoring and Plan Adjustment: Continuously monitor patient progress through regular assessments and feedback sessions. Adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure they remain effective and aligned with patients' goals and evolving circumstances.
- Clinical Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous and accurate clinical documentation, including patient records, treatment plans, and progress notes. Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and organizational standards for confidentiality and data security.
- Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and their families on mental health, coping strategies, and self-management techniques. Empower them with the knowledge and tools needed to support their psychological well-being and long-term recovery.
- Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with physicians, rehabilitation specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to patient care. Participate actively in multidisciplinary meetings to share insights, discuss patient progress, and coordinate care plans.
- Community Engagement and Awareness: Contribute to community awareness initiatives and educational programs aimed at reducing stigma surrounding mental health. Participate in outreach activities to promote psychological well-being and foster a supportive environment for patients and their families.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Valid license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) to practice as a Psychological Therapist in Saudi Arabia.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of clinical experience, with a preference for candidates who have worked in rehabilitation or healthcare settings. Experience in child and adult mental health is highly desirable.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong assessment, counseling, and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
