Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will be responsible for a range of critical financial tasks, including:

• Financial Record Maintenance: Accurately record and process daily financial transactions, ensuring all data is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements. This includes managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Invoice and Bill Processing: Prepare, review, and process invoices, bills, and other financial documents to ensure timely payments and accurate record-keeping. Maintain organized documentation to support audit trails and financial transparency.
• Bank and Financial Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial documents to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and ensure the accuracy of financial records. This role requires meticulous attention to detail to prevent errors and discrepancies.
• Financial Reporting Support: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Contribute to the development of financial analyses to support management in making informed business decisions.
• Bookkeeping and Data Management: Execute fundamental bookkeeping tasks, such as data entry, journal entries, ledger maintenance, and month-end closing procedures. Ensure all financial records are complete, accurate, and readily accessible for review.
• Compliance and Audit Support: Assist in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations. Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries promptly and accurately.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the following skills:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as Semi Qualified CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are highly preferred and will be considered a significant advantage.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and best practices. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP) and advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, are essential. Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
• Analytical and Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify trends or discrepancies.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with team members, management, and external stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting while also demonstrating independence in managing assigned tasks.
