Key Responsibilities

The Pediatric Dentistry Registrar will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating young patients while ensuring adherence to the highest clinical and ethical standards. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of pediatric patients, document clinical findings, and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.
• Patient Education and Health Promotion: Educate patients and their families on oral health conditions, preventive care strategies, and treatment options. Emphasize the importance of health promotion and disease prevention to foster long-term well-being.
• Diagnostic and Therapeutic Interventions: Order and review diagnostic investigations, prescribe medications when necessary, and ensure accurate documentation in patient records. Maintain strict compliance with Nahdi Care Clinics’ policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, including CBAHI and MOH guidelines.
• Collaborative Practice: Establish and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues across departments, local agencies, and external stakeholders to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
• Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and program evaluations to ensure adherence to clinical excellence and regulatory compliance. Contribute to the development of educational programs, including rounds, conferences, and journal clubs, to support the professional growth of junior staff.
• Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development activities to stay abreast of advancements in pediatric dentistry. Integrate evidence-based practices and population health factors, such as heritage and disease prevalence, into patient care strategies.
• Specialty-Specific Duties: Perform specialized tasks aligned with your training, experience, and clinical privileges as defined by the Saudi Health Council. Your role may also include additional responsibilities as assigned by the department head to meet evolving clinical and operational needs.

Work Environment and Schedule

The position is based in a fully indoor clinical setting at Nahdi Care Clinics in Riyadh. The role operates on a structured schedule of six working days per week, with one designated day off. Working hours are aligned with an 8-hour net shift schedule, approved by the Head of Department, ensuring a balanced and productive work environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution, complemented by a Master’s degree in Pediatric Dentistry or an equivalent Fellowship approved by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
• Experience: Minimum of two years of postgraduate clinical experience in pediatric dentistry, or eligibility to sit for the board examination in the specialty.
• Licensure: Valid registration as a Pediatric Dentistry Registrar with the SCFHS.
• Technical Proficiency: Competency in office and health information systems to support clinical documentation and patient management.
• Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Arabic, with strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively engage with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
