Position Overview
The Interface Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless coordination and alignment across all project interfaces, serving as a critical link between internal teams, external stakeholders, and project partners. This full-time, on-site position is based in the Riyadh Region and is responsible for overseeing the identification, documentation, and resolution of interface issues to maintain consistency in design, engineering, construction, and commissioning activities. The Interface Manager works closely with project managers, consultants, contractors, and client representatives to establish clear communication channels, structured workflows, and efficient collaboration mechanisms. The role demands a proactive approach to managing dependencies, risks, and changes while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, industry standards, and safety protocols. Daily responsibilities include leading coordination meetings, maintaining comprehensive interface registers, monitoring progress, and preparing detailed technical documentation and reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Interface Coordination: Lead the identification, documentation, and resolution of interface issues across all project phases, ensuring alignment between disciplines and stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and client representatives to facilitate effective communication and alignment of objectives.
- Risk and Dependency Management: Monitor and address risks, dependencies, and changes to prevent delays and ensure project continuity.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate interface registers, technical documentation, and progress reports using digital tools and software to track project milestones and compliance.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, international construction standards, and safety and quality frameworks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Meeting Facilitation: Organize and lead coordination meetings to align teams, resolve conflicts, and drive decision-making processes.
- Problem Resolution: Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to address interface issues proactively, minimizing disruptions and optimizing project outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, candidates must possess a blend of technical expertise, project management acumen, and strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience: Proven track record in interface management or coordination on large-scale construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
- Project Management: Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate dependencies, risks, and changes effectively.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of civil, architectural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines and their integration within complex projects.
- Communication and Negotiation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate meetings, resolve conflicts, and align diverse teams.
- Documentation and Tools: Proficiency in maintaining detailed interface registers, technical documentation, and reporting using relevant digital tools and software.
- Compliance and Standards: Familiarity with international construction standards, contractual requirements, and quality, safety, and compliance frameworks.
- Education and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; advanced certifications such as PMP or equivalent are advantageous.
- Regional Experience: Prior experience working in Saudi Arabia or the Gulf region, along with knowledge of local regulations and industry practices, is highly desirable.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving interface issues.
- Cultural Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a multicultural, multidisciplinary environment and collaborate effectively with teams on-site in the Riyadh Region.
