Position Overview

As a Senior Engineer specializing in Tendering at Alfanar, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the tendering process to secure high-value projects across diverse industries, including electrical products, energy solutions, oil and gas, water treatment, infrastructure, and digital solutions. This position requires a strategic mindset, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of technical and commercial aspects of tender submissions. You will be responsible for guiding a team of professionals, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, and delivering high-quality tenders that align with Alfanar’s commitment to excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership and Development: Provide strong leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Train and mentor team members to enhance their technical and professional capabilities, ensuring they are equipped to meet operational and developmental targets.
• Task Delegation and Management: Effectively delegate tasks to team members based on their strengths and expertise, ensuring fair distribution of workload to maintain high morale and motivation. Monitor progress and provide timely feedback to drive productivity and efficiency.
• Operational Execution and Reporting: Plan and execute activities to meet operational and development targets in alignment with delivery schedules. Prepare and submit periodic reports detailing deviations, execution progress, and key performance indicators. Address any operational issues promptly and escalate complex challenges to senior management for resolution.
• Quality Assurance and Process Optimization: Ensure adherence to quality requirements by developing and implementing robust quality control processes, including product and process specifications. Identify opportunities for automation to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
• Policy Compliance and Documentation: Maintain strict compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and work instructions. Develop and refine written systems, policies, and procedures to enhance operational clarity and consistency. Promote a culture of continuous improvement through process optimization and innovation.
• Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management: Uphold and enforce relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures within your area of responsibility. Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and Alfanar’s commitment to delivering high-quality products and services while prioritizing safety and sustainability.
• Technical and Commercial Expertise: Leverage your technical background in electrical engineering to assess project feasibility, evaluate technical specifications, and develop competitive tender proposals. Demonstrate strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and conditions for Alfanar.

Qualifications and Competencies

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Academic Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in tendering, project management, or a closely related field, with a proven track record of delivering successful tenders.
• Technical Competencies: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, strong report-writing skills, and the ability to analyze complex data to support decision-making.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and teamwork abilities. Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and the capacity to work effectively under pressure.
• Leadership and Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a well-organized workflow.
