Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Strategic Technology Support: Align technology planning and decision-making with the property’s operational goals, ensuring that all systems—hardware, software, and networks—are optimized for performance and scalability.
• System Implementation and Maintenance: Lead the acquisition, deployment, and maintenance of property-based systems, including monitoring network operations, managing backups, and administering email and mail systems to ensure uninterrupted functionality.
• Problem-Solving and Technical Expertise: Analyze system performance, identify inefficiencies, and propose data-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency. Act as the primary escalation point for technical issues, collaborating with vendors to resolve complex problems promptly.
• Project and Policy Management: Oversee IT projects to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Marriott’s global IT policies. Monitor adherence to security protocols and best practices to safeguard company resources and data integrity.
• User Support and Training: Provide technical guidance to staff, introduce new applications, and offer training to ensure seamless adoption. Act as a liaison between IT and end-users, addressing concerns and communicating system updates effectively.
• Asset and Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventories of IT hardware and software, ensuring assets are allocated efficiently and aligned with property needs. Support asset tracking and lifecycle management to optimize resource utilization.
• Vendor and Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with external vendors to procure and manage technology solutions, ensuring vendor performance meets Marriott’s high standards. Facilitate cross-functional communication to align IT initiatives with broader business objectives.
• Continuous Learning and Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, applying new knowledge to enhance system performance and drive digital transformation within the property.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A two-year degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or a related field, combined with five years of professional experience in IT systems, or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) with three years of relevant experience.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience in system administration, network management, software deployment, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) is highly preferred.
• Leadership and Collaboration: Proven ability to lead IT initiatives, manage cross-functional teams, and interface effectively with vendors, executives, and end-users. Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: A track record of identifying systemic issues, implementing solutions, and ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of reliability.
