Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Assistant Manager of Systems to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This role is pivotal in supporting the property’s technology infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations of all Information Resources (IR) systems. The ideal candidate will collaborate with vendors, property leadership, and staff to implement, maintain, and optimize technology solutions that align with organizational objectives. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and problem-solving skills to drive efficiency and innovation within the property’s digital ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Technology Planning and Implementation: Assist in the development and execution of technology strategies, ensuring alignment with property and brand-specific standards. Support the acquisition, maintenance, and lifecycle management of property-based systems and infrastructure.
• System Maintenance and Support: Perform regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs of computer hardware, software, and network systems. Ensure consistent backup and recovery functions are executed per schedule, while administering hardware, operating systems, and application systems to maintain optimal performance.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical issues, providing timely support to end-users. Act as the primary escalation point for IT-related problems, ensuring minimal disruption to property operations. Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues before they escalate.
• Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Liaise with vendors to procure IT solutions, negotiate contracts, and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met. Collaborate with property leadership to assess technology needs and recommend cost-effective solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
• Compliance and Security: Monitor compliance with IR policies, brand-specific standards, and regulatory requirements to safeguard company hardware, software, and data. Implement security measures to protect against cyber threats and ensure data integrity.
• Project Management: Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of IT projects, including the introduction of new applications and systems. Provide user training, documentation, and ongoing support to facilitate smooth transitions and adoption.
• Inventory and Asset Management: Maintain accurate inventories of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals. Track asset utilization and lifecycle to optimize resource allocation and reduce unnecessary expenditures.
• Technical Expertise and Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions that enhance property operations. Apply technical knowledge to address complex challenges and improve system performance.

  Qualifications and Experience

  To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following educational and professional requirements:

  • Education: A two-year degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, supplemented by at least five years of relevant professional experience. Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a technology-focused role.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications in systems administration, networking, or related fields are highly desirable and will be considered a significant advantage.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer hardware, software, and network systems. Experience with email administration, cable management, and internet support is essential. Familiarity with asset management tools and project management methodologies is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are critical.
