Key Responsibilities

The Radiology Specialist will be expected to fulfill a diverse set of responsibilities, including:

• Clinical Operations: Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures, including general radiography and specialized imaging, in strict accordance with departmental policies, protocols, and regulatory requirements. Ensure patient safety and comfort while producing images of the highest diagnostic quality.
• Quality Assurance and Image Evaluation: Assess the quality, appropriateness, and completeness of produced images. Forward images to radiologists for review and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate diagnostic support.
• Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals, to integrate radiology services with broader patient care initiatives. Act as a role model by demonstrating clinical and operational excellence, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Administrative and Development Duties: Contribute to the development and implementation of radiology service standards, ensuring alignment with organizational mission, vision, and values. Engage in business development activities, including marketing and promoting radiology services to patients, referrers, and the public.
• Equipment and Safety Management: Ensure the proper maintenance and safe operation of imaging equipment. Adhere to radiation protection standards and participate in quality assurance programs to mitigate risks and enhance patient safety.
• Evidence-Based Practice: Utilize evidence-based methodologies to develop and implement practice improvement initiatives. Stay abreast of advancements in radiology technology and techniques to enhance service delivery.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with KSA Health Regulations and international accreditation standards. Maintain valid licensure and certifications, including Basic Life Support (BLS).

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Radiology, Diagnostic Imaging, or a related field.
• Certifications: Valid and current licensure from your country of origin. BLS certification is mandatory.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of postgraduate experience in an acute care hospital setting, with proficiency in both ultrasound and X-ray imaging.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of KSA Health Regulations and international accreditation standards. Familiarity with advanced imaging technology and evidence-based practice.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and patient populations. Strong leadership skills, with the capacity to influence and implement change. Ability to work independently and methodically, while adapting to dynamic healthcare environments.
• Cultural Competency: Proficiency in relating to individuals from varied cultural backgrounds. Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
