Associate Marketplace Consultant, Softlines Category (Saudi national)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Marketplace Consultant, Softlines Category to join our dynamic team at Afaq Q Tech General Trading in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is exclusively open to Saudi nationals and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our marketplace operations within the Softlines category. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of retail dynamics, consumer trends, and digital marketplace strategies, with a focus on driving sales, enhancing customer experience, and optimizing product assortments.

Key Responsibilities

• Category Management: Develop and execute strategic plans to maximize sales and profitability within the Softlines category, including apparel, footwear, accessories, and home textiles. Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and consumer preferences to inform decision-making.
• Marketplace Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the digital marketplace experience, ensuring seamless integration of product listings, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns. Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Vendor and Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure high-quality products, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure timely deliveries. Address any supply chain challenges proactively to minimize disruptions.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize advanced analytics tools to track sales performance, inventory turnover, and customer feedback. Generate comprehensive reports to present insights and recommendations to senior management, supporting data-driven decision-making.
• Customer Experience Enhancement: Work closely with the marketing and customer service teams to elevate the shopping experience for customers. Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and implement strategies to increase satisfaction and loyalty.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to local and international regulations, including product safety standards, import/export requirements, and marketplace policies. Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to mitigate risks.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in retail, e-commerce, or marketplace management, with a focus on the Softlines category. Prior experience in a consultative or advisory role is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, or Power BI. Experience with marketplace platforms like Amazon, Noon, or other regional e-commerce platforms is advantageous.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in Arabic and English is required. Additional regional language skills are a valuable asset.
• Local Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Saudi market, consumer behavior, and cultural nuances within the Softlines category.
