Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic PS Execution Incharge / Head - Mechanical to oversee and lead mechanical execution activities during shutdowns and turnarounds within our organization. This critical role will be based in Saudi Arabia and will involve managing a multidisciplinary team to ensure the successful planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing complex shutdown and turnaround operations.

Key Responsibilities

The PS Execution Incharge / Head - Mechanical will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

• Project Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the mechanical execution team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and project objectives.
• Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement comprehensive shutdown and turnaround plans, including scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of mechanical engineers, technicians, and contractors to achieve project milestones and deliverables.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry standards throughout all project phases, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee quality control processes, inspections, and testing to maintain the highest standards of workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration.
• Budget and Resource Management: Monitor project budgets, resource utilization, and expenditures to ensure cost-effective execution while maintaining project integrity.
• Technical Expertise: Apply advanced mechanical engineering knowledge to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Performance Reporting: Prepare and present detailed progress reports, performance metrics, and post-project evaluations to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) will be considered a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role within shutdown and turnaround operations.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical systems, equipment maintenance, and project management software. Familiarity with industry-specific tools and standards is essential.
• Leadership and Soft Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, communicate effectively, and drive operational excellence in high-pressure environments.
• Certifications: Valid certifications in safety management (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) and project management are highly desirable.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; additional proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
