Planning Incharge - Mechanical with ( Shutdown & Turnaround) for Oil & Gas

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Planning Incharge – Mechanical with Shutdown & Turnaround (S&T) professional to join our dynamic team in the Oil & Gas sector. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing mechanical planning activities, particularly during critical shutdown and turnaround operations. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth execution of maintenance, repair, and upgrade projects while adhering to stringent safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This position requires a proactive approach, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive mechanical planning strategies for shutdown and turnaround projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
• Resource Management: Coordinate and allocate mechanical resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime during critical operations.
• Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) protocols.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to facilitate seamless communication and alignment of project goals.
• Budget & Cost Control: Monitor project expenditures, track cost variances, and implement cost-saving initiatives to ensure financial accountability and adherence to approved budgets.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project activities, including progress reports, risk assessments, and compliance documentation, to support audits and regulatory reviews.
• Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in mechanical planning processes.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all mechanical planning activities comply with local, national, and international regulations, including ISO standards, API guidelines, and company-specific policies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, API 653) will be considered a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mechanical planning, with at least 5 years dedicated to shutdown and turnaround operations in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, SAP PM), strong knowledge of mechanical systems, and familiarity with industry-specific tools and methodologies.
• Leadership & Soft Skills: Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional teams, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Certifications: Valid certifications in mechanical engineering, project management, or relevant safety protocols (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) are highly desirable.
