Senior Manager, PPU Electrical Engineering

Position Overview

Raytheon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to lead the PPU (Power Processing Unit) Electrical Engineering team. Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership and Management: Provide strong leadership to a team of electrical engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Mentor and develop talent to enhance team performance and achieve organizational goals.
• Technical Oversight: Lead the design, analysis, and testing of PPU electrical systems, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and safety standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and systems engineering, to integrate electrical solutions seamlessly.
• Project Execution: Oversee the end-to-end execution of electrical engineering projects, from initial concept to final delivery. Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within scope.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all electrical engineering activities comply with industry regulations, safety protocols, and company policies. Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard project success.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key liaison between the engineering team and senior leadership, as well as external stakeholders such as clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. Communicate technical insights and project progress in a clear and concise manner.
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating emerging technologies, methodologies, and best practices in electrical engineering. Champion innovation to enhance product performance and efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a combination of advanced technical expertise and leadership acumen. The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field. An advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) is preferred.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proven expertise in PPU design, power electronics, control systems, and electrical system integration.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, such as IEEE, IEC, and MIL-SPEC, as well as regulatory compliance requirements.
• Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in industry-standard tools and software, such as MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice, or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma, or Certified Electrical Engineer (CEng) are advantageous.
