Key Responsibilities

The Senior Maintenance Engineer will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing maintenance programs for civil infrastructure, including buildings, roads, bridges, and utility systems. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans aligned with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices to ensure optimal asset performance and longevity.
• Technical Oversight: Provide expert guidance on civil engineering maintenance activities, including structural assessments, material evaluations, and repair methodologies, to mitigate risks and enhance infrastructure resilience.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of maintenance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Budget and Resource Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to allocate resources efficiently, optimize maintenance budgets, and prioritize projects based on criticality and impact.
• Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local, national, and international regulations, while maintaining accurate records, reports, and audit trails to demonstrate adherence to standards.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CMRP) are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering maintenance, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM), structural analysis tools, and maintenance management systems (e.g., CMMS).
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of local and international standards, codes, and regulations governing civil infrastructure maintenance and safety.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to lead multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure environments.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
