Applications and Development Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Applications and Development Manager to spearhead enterprise applications, software development, ERP systems, automation initiatives, and digital transformation solutions across our Group. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving system integration excellence, optimizing business processes, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects that align with our Group’s strategic digital objectives. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering innovation, enhancing operational efficiency, and maintaining robust enterprise systems that support our business continuity and growth ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

As the Applications and Development Manager, you will oversee a dynamic portfolio of responsibilities, including:

• Strategic Leadership: Lead enterprise applications, development, automation, and digital solution initiatives across the Group, ensuring seamless alignment with business objectives and digital transformation goals.
• Team Management: Direct the applications, innovation, development, and ERP teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance to drive project success.
• Project Oversight: Manage end-to-end application projects, from initial planning to final delivery, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks while mitigating risks and optimizing resource allocation.
• ERP and System Governance: Oversee ERP-related initiatives, ensuring robust support, continuous enhancement, and seamless integration of enterprise systems to meet evolving business needs.
• Automation and Innovation: Identify and lead automation opportunities that enhance business productivity, operational efficiency, and process optimization, driving measurable improvements in performance.
• Performance Management: Develop and track departmental KPIs, monitor performance metrics, and provide insightful reports to senior management to inform strategic decision-making.
• Budget and Resource Management: Prepare, manage, and optimize the annual budget for applications and development activities, ensuring cost-effective execution while maintaining high standards of quality and innovation.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and nurture strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment, transparency, and high levels of user satisfaction across all departments.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain rigorous application security controls, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safeguarding critical business data.
• Business Continuity: Uphold and enhance business continuity standards, providing regular reporting and proactive measures to ensure uninterrupted operations and resilience.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you will bring the following qualifications and experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in applications, development, enterprise systems, or digital solutions, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
• Extensive experience managing applications, ERP, development, or innovation teams, demonstrating strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
• Hands-on expertise in managing ERP systems and enterprise application environments, with a deep understanding of system integration and lifecycle management.
• Proven success in leading technical projects, automation initiatives, and digital transformation programs that deliver tangible business value.
• Comprehensive knowledge of system integration best practices, application security frameworks, business continuity planning, and enterprise architecture principles.
• Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, risks, and resources effectively.
• Strong stakeholder management acumen, including problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills to engage and align diverse teams and executives.
• Proficiency in reporting and data analysis, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
