Design Project Manager - Lead Large-Scale Multidisciplinary Projects

We are seeking an experienced Design Project Manager with a proven track record in leading the design and delivery of large-scale, multidisciplinary projects. The successful candidate will oversee the complete design lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with client requirements, international standards, and company quality procedures.

This role requires strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, and coordination across multiple engineering disciplines. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline, with a minimum of 12-15 years of professional experience within engineering consultancy or design firms, and at least 5 years in a Project Manager or Design Manager role.

• Lead and manage the design delivery of major multidisciplinary projects from concept through construction documentation.
• Develop and maintain project execution plans, design programmes, resource plans, and project budgets.
• Coordinate Architectural, Structural, MEP, Infrastructure, Landscape, BIM, and specialist disciplines to ensure seamless design integration.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, authorities, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress, identify design risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, international design standards, and client requirements.
• Conduct regular design coordination meetings and technical reviews.
• Review project deliverables to ensure quality, constructability, and commercial objectives are achieved.
• Manage project scope changes and coordinate with commercial teams regarding contractual implications.
• Support proposal preparation, fee estimation, and resource planning for new opportunities.
• Mentor project teams and promote collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure effective coordination with BIM and Digital Engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) include on-time design delivery, budget adherence, client satisfaction, quality of design deliverables, design coordination efficiency, reduction in design clashes and rework, resource utilisation, compliance with project milestones, successful authority approvals, and team engagement and development.
