Key Responsibilities

The IT Manager will play a pivotal role in aligning technology with the strategic goals of Salamat Medical Group. Your core responsibilities will include:

• IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust IT systems, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud solutions, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
• Cybersecurity & Compliance: Develop and enforce comprehensive cybersecurity policies and procedures to safeguard patient data, medical records, and organizational assets in compliance with local and international regulations, including HIPAA and GDPR equivalents.
• Software & System Administration: Manage the deployment, integration, and optimization of healthcare-specific software, such as Electronic Health Records (EHR), Hospital Information Systems (HIS), and telemedicine platforms.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead a talented IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Mentor staff, delegate responsibilities, and ensure the team delivers high-quality technical support and services.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless procurement, implementation, and support of IT solutions.
• Budget & Resource Planning: Prepare and manage the IT department’s annual budget, allocating resources efficiently to maximize ROI while maintaining operational excellence.
• Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Develop and test disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted access to critical systems and patient care services.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISSP, PMP, CCNA) are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive IT management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the healthcare or medical sector. Hands-on experience with EHR/HIS systems is essential.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in network administration, cybersecurity, cloud computing (AWS/Azure), virtualization, and IT governance frameworks.
• Leadership & Soft Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and drive organizational change.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare IT regulations, data privacy laws, and industry standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, and ISO 27001.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
