Position Overview

Join Siemens Energy as an IT/OT Partner in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, where you will play a pivotal role in establishing the IT and Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure for our state-of-the-art factory. This position is ideal for professionals with a robust background in IT infrastructure and systems administration, seeking to contribute to meaningful projects that drive the successful launch of our Transformers Asia business unit. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure technology solutions align with Siemens Energy’s mission of delivering innovative energy solutions, while fostering a culture of collaboration, support, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Collaboration and Implementation: Partner with project teams to define and implement IT/OT requirements tailored to the new factory’s operational needs.
• Network Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and manage robust network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, to ensure seamless connectivity and operational efficiency.
• Server and System Administration: Deploy, administer, and maintain servers and operating systems to support critical factory operations and business processes.
• Technical Support: Provide first and second-level technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues promptly to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce network security measures to safeguard the IT/OT environment against threats. Ensure adherence to corporate security policies and conduct regular system monitoring to mitigate risks.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in IT roles, with a strong focus on systems administration and network management.
• Industrial Expertise: Proven experience in troubleshooting and providing technical support within industrial settings, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth familiarity with IT infrastructure, networking hardware, and operating systems, coupled with the ability to apply this knowledge in practical scenarios.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ are highly desirable.
• Analytical and Security Mindset: Strong analytical skills with a commitment to upholding security and compliance best practices to protect sensitive data and systems.
