Project Overview

We are currently seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to join our team in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This role will involve overseeing critical projects within the oil & gas, petrochemical, power plant, and refinery sectors. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in engineering and design, with a strong foundation in piping and mechanical systems, to drive project success and deliver innovative solutions.

Key Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 16 years in engineering and design, with a focus on oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial sectors.
• Technical Expertise: Strong background in piping and mechanical engineering, complemented by hands-on experience in brownfield projects.
• Industry Knowledge: Proven experience in turnaround and petrochemical projects, including leadership roles in FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and detailed design phases.
• Leadership: Prior experience as a Project Engineering Lead, demonstrating the ability to manage complex engineering teams and deliver projects on time and within scope.

Core Responsibilities

The Engineering Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution and delivery of engineering projects. Key responsibilities include:

• Team Leadership: Oversee the performance of the engineering team, ensuring accountability and alignment with project goals.
• Project Coordination: Facilitate seamless interfaces between engineering disciplines by understanding work processes and proactively identifying critical tasks to support the execution strategy.
• Project Culture: Collaborate with the Project Manager to foster a positive and productive project culture that encourages innovation and teamwork.
• Scope Management: Review and validate project scope documents, including Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other baseline documents, to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Strategic Planning: Lead the development of the Project Execution Strategy for all engineering functions, ensuring robust planning and execution.
• Schedule Management: Conduct engineering schedule planning sessions, own the project engineering schedule, and implement mitigations to maintain the correct engineering sequence.
• Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Champion engineering excellence throughout project execution and coordinate interfaces with Process Engineering, Project Controls, Project Management, Procurement and Contracts, Construction, and the client team.
