Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented RCM Specialist to join our team and provide comprehensive Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) operational support to healthcare providers through Waseel’s advanced RCM solutions. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire revenue cycle process, ensuring strict adherence to healthcare regulations, payer requirements, and industry best practices. Your responsibilities will include resolving claim-related discrepancies, collaborating with hospital and internal teams, and implementing strategies to maximize collections, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver exceptional RCM services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare administration, a deep understanding of revenue cycle operations, and a commitment to driving financial performance and compliance excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Revenue Cycle Management: Manage the complete revenue cycle from registration, eligibility verification, and pre-authorization to charging, coding, billing, claims submission, rejection management, follow-up, and collections, ensuring seamless and efficient operations.
- Regulatory Compliance and Payer Requirements: Ensure full compliance with healthcare regulations, including CCHI and CBAHI standards, as well as payer-specific requirements, to mitigate risks and maintain operational integrity.
- Claims Resolution and Optimization: Identify root causes of claim rejections, discrepancies, or denials, and implement corrective actions to improve first-pass acceptance rates and maximize revenue recovery.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with hospital staff, internal teams, and external stakeholders to streamline communication, resolve operational challenges, and align RCM processes with organizational goals.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize advanced Excel skills and data analysis techniques to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), generate actionable insights, and support data-driven decision-making to enhance RCM efficiency and effectiveness.
- System and Process Improvement: Leverage hands-on experience with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and Claims Management Systems to optimize workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and enhance the accuracy and timeliness of revenue cycle operations.
- Quality Assurance: Uphold the highest standards of healthcare quality and compliance by adhering to established protocols, conducting regular audits, and ensuring all RCM activities meet regulatory and organizational benchmarks.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following educational and professional requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Hospital Management, Business Administration, or Management Information Systems.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in managing the full revenue cycle process from end to end (A-Z), including registration, eligibility, pre-authorization, charging, coding, billing, claims submission, rejection management, follow-up, and collections.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilities to interpret complex datasets and generate meaningful reports.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of medical claims, billing processes, and health insurance operations, along with familiarity with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and Claims Management Systems.
- Regulatory Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of CCHI regulations, healthcare insurance compliance standards, and CBAHI requirements to ensure adherence to industry and organizational guidelines.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze claim-related issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to improve collections and operational efficiency.
- Communication and Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to achieve common objectives.
